Welcome: Antoni Gaudí and the Land of Cement
Welcome to the mural route dedicated to Antoni Gaudí and the land of cement.
This path invites us to discover the shared history of La Pobla de Lillet and Castellar de n’Hug, two villages connected by the Llobregat River, nature, and a major industrial transformation.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, these mountains underwent a period of great change.
The arrival of the cement industry, driven by Eusebi Güell, brought new roads, new buildings, and new ways of life.
But this is not just a story of factories and machines.
It is also the story of the people who made it all possible, and of the presence of one of Catalonia’s most internationally renowned architects: Antoni Gaudí.
Through these murals, we will discover a land where industry, nature, and creativity came together.
A journey into the past that is still very much alive today.
