Sant Jaume de Frontanyà
Sant Jaume de Frontanyà, located in the region of Berguedà, is one of the least populated villages in Catalonia and it is built around its church.
The first written reference of the village dates from 905, when the old church of Sant Jaume Vell was consecrated.
Sant Jaume de Frontanyà Church
Dating from the XIth century, it’ s a beautiful church built in the most pure and genuine Lombard style. The most outstanding element is the twelve sided dome.
Sant Esteve de Tubau Hermitage
Located next to Tubau countryhouse and at a high point overlooking the valley. It is a pre-Romanesque construction with rectangular floor plan and a trapeze-shaped apse deviating from the axis of the building.
The first written reference of the church dates from 905.
Mare de Déu dels Oms Sanctuary
XVIIIth century construction, built on a 13th century Romanesque base. It consists of a unique nave temple with side chapels and a big and square section presbytery. The current building was finished in 1785 and protected as a cultural site of local interest.
