Historical centre
Walking through the historical centre of our municipality you will relive the origins of our village at the beginning of the 13th century, when Mataplana family settled in the Castle and began the construction of La Pobla de Lillet.
Its cobbled and narrow streets retain all the charm of a population nucleus, strategically located on a hill called el Pujolet.
Following the route of the interpretative panels you will be able to know a bit more of our history: Mr Güell fountain, the Old Bridge, the Town Hall square, the Population Charter wall mural, the square of Molí, Verger street, Església street, del Fort square, the castle and the church.
We recommend a visit to the Parish Church. It houses two little known jewels: the Christ in Majesty, a magnificent Romanesque polychrome wood carving from the 12th century and the Assumption of the Virgin, a sculpture group of 2 meters high, work of Frederic Marès.
Leaving the old centre, La Pobla best known image: the Old Bridge over Llobregat river, a single arch construction in Romanesque style.
